# Creating a Sputnik V2 (NEAR) Community

In order to create a Sputnik v2 forum, you must first be logged in to the main NEAR forum on Common and connected to chain (button found on the bottom right corner of the forum). Once this is done you are now able to navigate to the “New Common Community” page.

In the Sputnik v2 tab on this page you will need to fill out the information shown below:

The minimum required information to successfully create a Sputnik v2 forum is DAO Name and Description. Click “Save changes” at the bottom to create the forum.
