To setup a token gated topic, you must first create a group to gate by

How to Create a Group on Common (Admins Only)

1) Head to the "Members & Groups" Page within the sidebar

2) Click Create Group

Requirement type: select the token for the group Chain: Select the chain for which the token is on. Contract Address: Input the token contract address. Note: evm base tokens don't require contract addresses

Manually Create Groups through Allowlists

To customize groups search through your members list and grant group status to those exempt members from meeting the token requirements set above.

Group Example:

Necessary Requirements: Select whether all requirements must be satisfied if there are multiple Gate Topics: Select the topic within the forum to be gated by the group. See below the gated actions.

🔵
🔐
Name your group, add a description of what that group signifies, and add an image if necessary.
Next set Requirements to your Group: you can select the chain and token address for the token you would like to gate by. Note that you can create multiple requirements. Ex: users in this group must hold .05 ETH and an NFT.
LayerZero created an RFP Allowlist Group after they distributed erc-1155s to eligible wallet addresses. They gated their "RFP Submission" topic so that only wallets holding that erc-1155 token were able to submit.
