User FAQs for Contests

What are Contests?

Contests on Common are adaptable, community-hosted competitions that spark creativity and boost engagement by encouraging thoughtful participation.

Community members can showcase their best ideas and submissions, and the threads with the most upvotes at the end of the contest win rewards set by the community. Contests incentivize community contributions and offer a thrilling, transparent system to reward participation.

How do I participate?

First, you need to be a member of a community that is hosting a contest.

After joining, all you need to do is submit your Contest entry as a thread in the topic where the contest is active.

Your contribution will automatically enter the contest and be eligible for rewards.

How do I win?

Winners are the threads with the most upvotes in the contest topics.

For contests with multiple winners, up to 10 top threads will share the rewards pool based on the adminโ€™s prize split.

How long do Contests run for?

Contests have a 1 to 7-day duration. If participating in a Contest using Community Stake, they may be running on a recurring basis.

How do I claim my prize?

Prizes are automatically sent to the winnerโ€™s wallet once the contest ends, so no need to manually claimโ€”just watch your wallet for the reward!
